The Vincent Family Bridge ClimbI hope you’re having a great week.

Earlier this week, my family & I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge for my youngest daughter Katelin’s 15th Birithday. It was a wonderful experience and a moment we will all cherish forever. If you haven't experienced the Bridge Climb as yet then I highly recommend that you put it high up on your 'must do' list.

These past few weeks have literally disappeared within a blink of an eye for me. I really can't believe where that time went.

Behind the scenes I’ve been working with another real estate trainer on an 'exclusive' Underground Real Estate Breakthrough series and something extra special for those agents who really want to put their foot on the accelerator and take over their marketplace. 

It’s just the thing a lot of agents have been searching for and I really can’t wait to share it with you.

Next week, I’m presenting for the REINSW Young Agents committee and heading off to the Gold Coast to speak at the 20th Annual Best Practice Principal’s Retreat where I'll be sharing the stage with Robert Bevan and John Shackleton, who is rated in the Top 5% of speakers worldwide.

In my travels I really enjoy catching up with other dynamic speakers as well as meeting up with so many of the real estate industries' leading agents.

Recently, I’ve been travelling extensively throughout Australia teaching agents about how to use the internet and Social Media more effectively and now the schedule looks set to get a whole lot busier with a trip to NZ planned in Sept as well.

Whilst catching up with a lot of agents, I wasn't surprised to hear how annoyed the agents were about Realestate.com.au's latest decision to increase the pricing of their Feature Properties from $115 to $186 per month. (That’s a massive 61% price increase).

Plus, there seems to be a push to get agents on the feature all option where you will be paying well over $120 per property.

One agency anticipates that if they kept every listing they have as a feature property all the time it would represent about $140,000 per year.

The whole situation is now becoming ridiculous as agents try to compete & try to get their listings to the top of the search on Realestate.com.au.

The Feature All Option is now creating pages and pages of Featured listings and lots of brand new listings are now getting pushed down in their rankings on realestate.com.au faster than I’ve ever seen before.

So, I thought it only fitting that I feature more from Pat in this week's edition. He is a great guy and a real inspiration.

 

Success Tip

Today's success tip comes from Pat Mesiti.

Pat MesitiPat Mesiti was once told that he would one day end up in jail. They were wrong! Pat has become one of the world's most celebrated speakers and income acceleration coaches. His goal is to shift mindsets and help people build prosperity and wealth in their lives - be it with money, lifestyle or relationships. Understanding that some people fail to possess the habits to succeed in life, Pat hopes to instill happiness in these their lives by teaching and coaching them about poverty, spirit, belief and business, in motivating them towards financial success.

Why is it important to create a good team around you?

I have never met a rich hermit. Why? Because you can’t succeed by yourself. Someone once said to me, ‘I not only need the brains that I have, I need all the brains I can borrow’. With that thought in mind, I have surrounded myself with a fantastic team, because they bring to the table everything that I don’t have. I am a networker, creator, speaker and leader. If I do anything more, we are all in trouble, so I need good administrators with me.

When you get a team collaborating you will find they will multiply the outcomes. Collaboration equals multiplication. Walt Disney once said, ‘You can create and dream the most wonderful things in the world but it requires people to make the dream a reality’.

A great team of people should:

• be skilful
• share knowledge
• inspire each other to be better
• provide you with enthusiasm

• have a culture of acceptance

What are some of the most important lessons you have learnt in life?

• Watch your associations. You will suffer the consequences and rewards from those closest to you. Those closest to you in life will feed either your strengths or weaknesses.

• You will never learn from the mentor you don’t have, just as you will never learn from the associations you don’t have.

• Relationships and associations are like elevators – they can take you up or down.

• My life and success is a result of the people I hang around with (this is a very important statement).

• You cannot fly like an eagle when you are strutting with the turkeys.

• I have had the amazing privilege of having some incredible men and women in my life who have helped me. Without them I would not
be where I am today. I am a result of other people’s successes because they have helped me.

• Listen – you can’t teach anything to a person who is not willing to listen. You can’t help someone who is not willing to listen.

• Never care more for a person’s problem than they care for it themselves. I believe in supporting people that can’t work, not those that won’t work.

• Life rewards completions not intentions (no one gets a gold medal for starting).

What are your top tips for reaching greater levels of success?

• Get rid of your mind viruses; that is, the thoughts in your head like ‘the rich get richer and the poor get poorer’, and the ‘Aussie Battler’
syndrome. Remove your viruses!

• Your life will go toward your most dominant image of it. Get an image of what you want and move toward it.

• What you respect will move toward you; what you disrespect will move away from you.

• If you want to prosper, add value – to your clients, to your workplace, to yourself. The person that adds value will always be valuable. How do you add value? Through the books you read, the CDs you listen to, and the seminars you attend.

• Study your associations. Who have you got around you? What have they got you doing? What have they got you saying? Where have they got you going? What have they got you reading? What have they got you believing about yourself? Study your associations because they equal your assimilations. You need to watch your associations!

• Never make pleasurable people of today pay for the painful people of yesterday.

• Create a life philosophy. Mine is to live life generously and passionately. If you are going to do something do it with passion and generosity.


How do you live life?

In life there will be people who celebrate you and people who tolerate you – you can only build with those people that celebrate you, not
with people who tolerate you. Find the people in life that celebrate you and you will prosper.
