ar Friend,
I hope you’re having a great week.
It’s been a very exciting week, with the launch of the Real Estate University and with today being the last day for agents being able to share their thoughts & opinions in the Future Of Agents Commission – 2010 survey.
So far the response to the survey has been excellent with so many agents providing some great insights into what's happening with real estate commissions throughout Australia & NZ.
The survey closes today and a report is in the process of being compiled. The report will be made available for all agents to view on the RealEstateUniversity.com.au website.
If you’d like to be one of the first agents to receive the report, I’ll be emailing the report to all participants prior to uploading it onto the Real Estate University site.
So if you haven’t had your say about the Future of Agents Commission -2010 then I suggest you click here and complete it before we close the survey later today. (it takes less than 90 seconds to complete).
Alternatively, if you don’t wish to participate but would like to be notified once the report has been made available, you can subscribe to the Real Estate University site here.
Also, this week, I must say that I've felt extremely proud of the quality of the content & the engaging comments that are already appearing within the RealEstateUniversity.com.au website. It has really come to life.
Since last week's launch, there’s been a host of real estate trainers, thought leaders and agents who have jumped in and started sharing their success tips. Behind the scenes I have a number of inspiring contributors who've committed to joining the team.
"Only a week old and it's already a fantastic resource for agents."
I've also been extremely busy getting everything ready for next week's series of Social Media for Real Estate Seminars.
There's a special bonus in store for all the attendees, plus I'll be showing them how one agent made over $35,000 in a week, without even selling or leasing a property. If you'd like to find out how and haven't secured your seat as yet, don't miss out, Book Your Seat Here Now!
PS: Also, I thought you might be interested to know that there’s a FREE seminar coming up in Brisbane on the 10th March 2010, it’s called “A Morning with Australia and New Zealand’s Top Agents”. To find out more about it click here.
Today's success tip comes from Ron McLean.
Do you want to know the best way of growing your business and increasing your profits immediately? According to Ron McLean, the answer is customer service - and in this chapter Ron explains the benefits of adopting a service strategy or culture for businesses.
In fact, the information he'll share with you is the same information he learnt on a journey that led him to be in a position where he could financially retire at 34.
So if you want to be known as an agent who offers great customer service, then you have to know about leadership, hiring and training staff, word of mouth marketing, planning and employee engagement. Find out more!
What’s one of the best business growth initiatives you’ve ever implemented and why did it work so well?
Delivering customer service excellence is the best growth initiative I have ever implemented. Very few businesses are truly customer focused – I mean truly customer focused to the point that every single thing they do has one purpose and that is to take care of their customers at every single point in the business.
This strategy overrides every other strategy because it actually covers every other strategy. It is the best form of marketing and the best form of human resource management. It focuses on growing revenues by growing customer numbers and it is also a fun strategy.
Engaging employees and customers in an environment that is extremely positive and rewarding for all parties, where the employees and customers are happy, is a tremendously rewarding experience for everyone.
Other than boosting the bottom line, what are some of the hidden benefits of great customer service?
Great service organisations:
• can charge more for their products and services
• have less advertising costs through word-of-mouth marketing
• have more loyal customers who buy more often
• have fewer customer complaints, and happier customers
• have happier employees, meaning less staff turnover and absenteeism, and higher productivity.
In addition, great service organisations have good fun! If you get a chance, talk to employees in a good service organisation, they are engaged, positive, contributing and enjoying it. On the other hand, bad service organisations appear lethargic, negative, unhappy and boring.
Why do you say that customer service should be seen as a marketing expense?
Providing great service is the best form of marketing. Word-of-mouth marketing, where a customer refers you to another customer, costs you nothing and a person will place more credence on a word-of-mouth recommendation from a third party than an advertisement.
Imagine going away for a weekend with your partner. You browse through the hotel’s compendium in search of a suitable restaurant, flick through the newspaper and local dining magazine and settle on Sam’s Seafood Restaurant. It looks good and has lots of great advertisements. You go downstairs to the bar before leaving for dinner and you get talking to some locals. You tell them that you are going to Sam’s and they look at you, shake their heads and say, ‘Forget it! The food’s not great and the
service is lousy. Why don’t you go to Giuseppe’s Gourmet Italian – the service is great, the staff are friendly and the food is sensational’.
Most people would change their dining decision and head off to Giuseppe’s.
The best advertising cannot beat a word-of-mouth recommendation.
