Today is a day of firsts.
The first day of the month. The first day of the quarter & it's the first day after the First Home Buyers Grant has been restructured.
It will be interesting to see how the market continues to react.
In other news, there have been a couple of extremely important developments happening this week...
Since Google's announcement, I've been kept extremely busy helping a number of real estate agents understand the potential impact that these 'NEW' Google products could have on their businesses.
People are now able to put comments/reviews right beside your company website and/or next to your listings on the web, whether you like it or not.

Today's success tip comes from RON LEE.
Ron Lee has trained some of the top 100 corporations across four continents about leadership, personal empowerment and life balance. Ron is affectionately named 'The Corporate Ninja', and is an international speaker, who shares some great insights into creating an engaging presentation & helping to develop your own presentation style.
Ron also lectured at the University of NSW, is author of the book, What Shintarou Taught Me, and has had roles in eight feature films including the legendary Zombie Brigade.
Is it more important to educate or entertain a client/audience?
It has to be a balance of both. If you don’t entertain them, hold their attention and keep them interested, they will not learn or gain greater awareness.
In a sales presentation, a conference or other corporate environment, it is essential to ensure they gain benefit from your time with them.
On the other hand, you could be a boring presenter with high content and information, but the message might not penetrate unless you’re counting on some sort of subliminal influence while the audience is falling asleep.
How do you build credibility with a new client/audience?
I build credibility through proof and participation.
Carl Jung said, ‘The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any reaction, both are transformed’.
So is it essential that your clients or audience participate?
Yes. And you may also be interested to know how I facilitate this?
I ask them to participate.
I use demonstrations and techniques that get participants physically and mentally involved to experience what I am teaching.
By doing this, the client or audience sees proof and they believe me.
It has been said that a person won’t believe something until they discover it for themselves. So I try to gain credibility by demonstrating the message.
The best way to demonstrate your message is to pre-frame the intention of the exercise, demonstrate the exercise, and then have participants do the exercise themselves.
A debriefing follows to summarise and emphasise the key learnings.
Often it’s only after this process that people understand the message, thus establishing credibility with your audience.
