Dear Friend,
I hope you're having a great week...
It’s been a hectic week compiling all the amazing content that I’ll be sharing with agents at this week's Twitter for Real Estate Workshops.
(Please Note: Agents if you’re planning on attending, there are only a handful of spots left).
After speaking with a number of agents last week, they all seem to be facing similar challenges. They've all said getting listings in the middle to lower price ranges has been a lot tougher due to the resurgence of first home buyers & investors coming back into the market.
Yet I found it an amazing coincidence that in preparation for my upcoming workshops I decided to do a brief case study on 2 agencies that I’m currently working with. (They are now both using one of the online marketing strategies I’ve developed.)
Here’s a snap shot of what happened…
Case Study: (true story) Two real estate agents, say agent A & agent B located in the same suburb in Australia were both presented with the same simple, effective online marketing strategy on exactly the same day.
Agent A decided to implement the simple strategy & used it to list over $50 million worth of property over a period of 12 months.
Agent B decided to wait & eventually implemented the strategy a year later. (after missing out on an enormous amount of commission).
I’m sure I don’t need to ask you which agent you’d prefer to be?
If listings are tight, then now is the time that you really should be looking at new ways that you can use the internet more effectively.
PS: It's where the majority of your customers are spending their time researching & looking for an agent to list with.
Today's success tip comes from BAKOUS MAKARI.
Building Wealth: Tax is the single biggest expense for any business. But what if you could maximise the tax benefits as a business owner and reinvest more into your business's growth? Well, you can! Bakous Makari is an expert on tax planning and has helped thousands of companies utilise existing tax laws to impressively lower their tax bill (legally!) and then use that money to create further wealth. Bakous has developed a different mindset for wealth creation and shares some very useful and exciting ways to increase business profits and growth.
There are basically two types of companies:
1. Companies that will probably never achieve their potential. These companies will probably never go on to be much bigger than they are now. They have many of the classic problems that I see the majority of companies have: very poor cash flow, a very average type of service and nothing unique that distinguishes the business from its competitors. They don’t seek to give their clients a unique experience. In other words, they are average businesses achieving average results, even though it’s clear to me that the potential of some of these businesses is far greater.
2. Companies that are already on a rapid trajectory of growth. These companies do exactly the opposite of what the first group do. They seek to define something unique about their business, they manage their cash flow with great discipline, and they go all out to give their customers a terrific experience.
Very often these two groups, or members of these two groups, might be in the same industry. Even more surprising is that the successful group has an owner who may be less qualified or perhaps less intelligent. The fundamental difference between these two groups of companies is in the mind-set of the owner. The first group tend to be plagued by limiting beliefs and get so caught up working in their business that they forget to work on their business. The second group, on the other hand, believe strongly that their business and their own personal wealth is destined for growth, so they focus a lot more on working on their business to make it more successful.
The most important things about growing a business?
It’s unbelievable that there are so many ways to grow your business as well as make it more profitable. I have seen many of my clients really grow their businesses and their personal wealth by thinking outside the usual way of doing things. All of these ideas can be grouped under three simple goals:
1. Get more customers.
2. Get each customer spending more each time they buy.
3. Get each customer buying from you more often.
Everybody knows about advertising, direct mail and discount sales, but what about running education nights to help your existing customers and generate new leads? Or packaging complimentary products together to increase the size of a purchase? Or communicating with your customers regularly with helpful information or ‘limited release’ offers to keep them interested and buying more frequently? These are all great ways to grow a business.
However, in my opinion the best way to grow a business is to have a Unique Selling Proposition (USP).
Every successful business has one – a promise that they can deliver that nobody else can, thereby making them absolutely unique.
