It’s hard to believe that it’s been only a week since the first Twitter for Real Estate Workshop was held.
We had a great attendance to each of the events & the feedback from attendees has been fantastic.
I think the most exciting part for me was when I showed the attendees how an agent in Queensland had made over $30,000 in a week without listing or selling a property & the strategy didn’t include leasing a property or earning commission from finance either.
The look on the face of some of the attendees’ was...Priceless.
Over the past few days I’ve had numerous requests to run another event, so I’m pleased to announce that I'm running another series of workshops early September. ( Just in time to help agents get off to a great start in Spring.)
Also, this week I had the opportunity to see some of the amazing technology that is currently in the lab for real estate agents. I can’t say too much, but let me assure you there are some exciting things on their way.

What are the essential qualities or attributes of a great business leader?
Inspiration – a great leader inspires their team, their customers and the marketplace.
Vision – a great leader has a crystal clear vision. If you don’t have a destination you will never arrive, and you will never be able to lead your team – you will be on the road to nowhere!
Strength – a great leader needs the strength to climb the toughest of obstacles. Your team expect it of you. Sometimes that means making the tough decisions no one else wants to make. Imagine you were the CEO of a major bank years ago when ATMs were introduced. You would have had to make the decision to shut down branches, and put people out of work. As tough as it was, the banks ended up reporting huge profits!
Optimism – in business there are no failures. Whenever I make a mistake, I make sure I learn something. A couple of years ago I decided to start an international business, but the only thing I did successfully was lose a lot of money. I have met many people who would call this a failure. In my eyes this was a major lesson. To be a great leader you have to make it okay to make a mistake, as long as something is learnt.
Delegation, not abdication – a great leader will master the art of delegation and leverage through people, but will always remain responsible for the outcome.
Top Tips for Attracting Great Sales Talent to a Business.
1. Create a great business – great people will want to work for an exciting company that is growing.
2. Pay them well – great salespeople should be able to earn a good income.
3. Provide training – salespeople thrive on getting better, so make sure you have a regular training program.
4. Use incentives – money is not the only driver; sometimes it is good to provide incentives such as holidays or team days (paintball, go-carting, golf and so on).
5. Strong leadership – you need to be a strong leader with a clear vision.
It is the leader’s job to engage and inspire.
